Gordon Prouty joined the Puget Sound Business Journal as publisher in July of 2011 after heading up the advertising department at one of the Business Journal’s sister publications, the San Francisco Business Times. As publisher, his role is to lead the company toward achieving its mission, which is to be the central source of business intelligence and to connect business leaders to each other. Along with the weekly paper, the company hosts more than 60 events each year and its web site averages one million page views per month. Prouty started his career at his hometown paper, The Post Standard, in Syracuse, New York, where he also was an adjunct professor at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications. During his career he has held senior advertising and business development positions in Philadelphia, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Prouty currently serves on the Board of Directors for The American Diabetes Association, The 5th Avenue Theatre, The Greater Seattle Business Association, Junior Achievement of Washington and is a member of CEOs against Cancer.

Thomas O’Connell is a Senior Vice President within HSBC Bank’s commercial banking business. In this role, he is responsible for leading a team of professionals who deliver financial solutions to top-tier global corporate and institutions in the West Coast. O’Connell has over 25 years of experience working with clients in the commercial banking environment.
O’Connell has spent the majority of his banking career on the West Coast with various financial institutions and the past 8 years with HSBC.

Juliano Corsetti is a Vice President at HSBC Bank USA, N.A. and presently serves as Head of Latam Desk, International and Commercial Banking Division for HSBC Bank USA. He is responsible for strengthening the connection between HSBC’s Corporate offices in USA and Latin America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Panama and Mexico), and supporting HSBC’s customers with their expansion plans and needs into the Latam and NAM regions.”
Juliano began his career in banking in 1998 as a trainee with the Corporate Banking team at Banco Bradesco S/A, later becoming a Relationship Manager with the Large Corporates group. He joined the Commercial Banking Division of HSBC Bank Brasil S/A – Banco Múltiplo in 2004 and was transferred to HSBC Bank USA – N.A. in 2011 to establish a Regional Desk for Corporates focused on Latin America. Juliano assumed his current position in June 2011.
Juliano holds a Bachelors degree in Economics Science from Fundação Armando Alvarez Penteado – FAAP.

Roy has over 16 years experience in providing tax services to his clients, the last 10 years focusing on international tax matters. Roy has worked in both public accounting and in industry allowing him to provide practical tax advice to his clients. Roy has worked closely with his clients to optimize the worldwide effective tax rate and to reduce foreign taxes through, tax-efficient financing, efficient cash management, repatriation of earnings to the U.S., and transfer pricing analysis. Roy has assisted clients in both acquisition and divestiture structuring and in entry into new markets. Additionally, Roy has an extensive background in ASC 740 and its application to foreign subsidiaries.

John Drew is the Senior Vice President of HSBC Corporate & Commercial Risk Advisory at HSBC Securities (USA) Inc, a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings plc.
In this role, John is responsible for working with HSBC’s Corporate clients on the West Coast to help identify risks related to global markets and assist in finding risk management solutions in association with HSBC’s Global Markets teams worldwide. He has over 20-years of experience working with Corporate clients in the Global Markets environment, and prior to that 10-years of experience working with Corporate clients in International Banking.
Prior to his West Coast based role, John was Regional Director for HSBC Global Markets in the UK.
